Berlin, Brandenburg, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen planen offenbar seit fünf Jahren, ein gemeinsames Überwachungszentrum einzurichten. Das geht aus dem Entwurf eines bisher geheimen Vertrags hervor, den netzpolitik.org geleakt hat. Im "Gemeinsamen Kompetenz- und Dienstleistungszentrum auf dem Gebiet der polizeilichen Telekommunikationsüberwachung" (GKDZ) sollen die Fähigkeiten der Länderpolizeien bei der Überwachung der Festnetz-, Mobil- und Internetkommunikation zur Strafverfolgung zusammengefasst werden, schreibt Zeit online.
